Money has three main functions: to be a medium of exchange, a store of value and a unit of account. Traditional fiat currencies are struggling to keep fulfilling the Store of Value property as we are witnessing strong inflationary tendencies throughout the world. Furthermore, it is estimated that around 2.5billion people today remain unbanked or are cut off from financial infrastructure. Bitcoin as a global, censorship and inflation-resistant monetary network seems to be the best viable candidate in stepping in as the next stage in the evolution of global money.

Abubakar Nur Khalil, Conor Okus, Femi Longe (SP)

As Bitcoin development and engineering was a niche market until a few years ago, the demand for Bitcoin-related jobs - be it developers, engineers, marketers or alike is steadily growing. Resources are not only needed in Bitcoin but with the Lightning Network as the payments rail on top of Bitcoin, millions of use cases are developing and knowledge in these areas is strongly sought-after. Could it be a good time to step in and work on Bitcoin and Lightning related projects?

Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world. While there are many possibilities to use Bitcoin, different ways in storing it and setting up an inheritance plan for example, most people are still lacking basic knowledge on how to to so. According to economists, the world is currently navigating into unchartered waters: Yields are low, inflation is globally on the rise and central banks seem to have no other choice than printing ever more money. Will we face an economical recession? Combined with high inflation, do we face a stagflationary environment? What role can Bitcoin, as a disinflationary money, play in this scenario?
